Corynebacterium glutamicum Mechanosensing: From Osmoregulation to L-Glutamate Secretion for the Avian Microbiota-Gut-Brain Axis

چکیده
After the discovery of Corynebacterium glutamicum from avian feces-contaminated soil, its enigmatic L-glutamate secretion by corynebacterial MscCG-type mechanosensitive channels has been utilized for industrial monosodium glutamate production. Bacterial are activated directly increased membrane tension upon hypoosmotic downshock; thus; physiological significance considered as adjusting turgor pressure releasing cytoplasmic solutes. In this review, we present information that have evolutionally specialized carriers to secrete into surrounding environment in their habitats rather than osmotic safety valves. The lipid modulation activation MscCG production can be explained “Force-From-Lipids” and “Force-From-Tethers” mechanosensing paradigms differs significantly mechanical shock. review also provides on search evidence C. was originally a gut bacterium host with aim understanding roles mechanosensing. is able microbiota help brain function via microbiota–gut–brain axis.

Fermented foods containing probiotic bacteria have been used for many years to improve the health or treatment of some diseases. Nowadays, the Therapeutic properties of probiotics are becoming more and more obvious to everyone, insofar as in recent years, more attention has been paid to the potential relation between gut microbiota and mental health. Several studies have shown that intestinal m...
متن کاملReducing lactate secretion by ldhA Deletion in L-glutamate- producing strain Corynebacterium glutamicum GDK-9
L-lactate is one of main byproducts excreted in to the fermentation medium. To improve L-glutamate production and reduce L-lactate accumulation, L-lactate dehydrogenase-encoding gene ldhA was knocked out from L-glutamate producing strain Corynebacterium glutamicum GDK-9, designated GDK-9ΔldhA. GDK-9ΔldhA produced approximately 10.1% more L-glutamate than the GDK-9, and yielded lower levels of s...
متن کاملThe Microbiota and Gut-Brain Axis
The ability of gut microbiota to communicate with the brain and hence modulate behavior is an emerging novel concept in health and disease. The enteric microbiota interacts with the host to form essential relationships that govern homeostasis. Although enteric bacterial fingerprint of each individual is quite unique, there appears to be a certain balance that confers individual’s health benefit...
متن کاملBrain-gut-microbiota axis in Parkinson's disease.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by alpha-synucleinopathy that affects all levels of the brain-gut axis including the central, autonomic, and enteric nervous systems. Recently, it has been recognized that the brain-gut axis interactions are significantly modulated by the gut microbiota via immunological, neuroendocrine, and direct neural mechanisms. Dysregulation of the brain-gut-micro...
متن کاملMembrane alteration is necessary but not sufficient for effective glutamate secretion in Corynebacterium glutamicum.
We showed recently that secretion of glutamate in biotin-limited cells of Corynebacterium glutamicum is mediated by carrier systems in the plasma membrane (C. Hoischen and R. Krämer, Arch. Microbiol. 151:342-347, 1989). In view of the generally accepted hypothesis that glutamate efflux is directly caused by alterations of the membrane, it was necessary to examine the kind of correlation between...
